Meet Herve Tennessee, Product Demonstrator in NYC

Herve Tennessee of Woodside, NY has one of the best traits a successful product demonstrator could have: Enthusiasm. From the moment he started working for national staffing agency Productions Plus – The Talent Shop over a year ago, Tennessee (which is what he prefers to be called) has brought energy, passion, and dedication to the all programs he has worked on In fact, his flexibility and reliability earned him a spot as a part time SodaStream product demonstrator at Macy’s Herald Square in New York, the highest volume Macy’s store in the nation. Only four Macy’s locations throughout the nation are staffed with a part time retail demonstrator, so it is an honor to be chosen as one of these people.

During a recent trip to NYC, SodaStream account supervisor Lisa Cali got to meet Tennessee and see him in action during a Saturday demonstration. Not one customer walked by the demo station without stopping to watch or taste some soda, because that’s just the kind of energy that he brings to the table.

It only took Tennessee a year on the SodaStream demonstration program to work his way from newbie to most requested talent for special events. Last year, Tennessee was requested by store managers to work at many NYC independent home and kitchen stores such as Zabar’s, Gracious Home and Broadway Panhandler. His most successful shift was in September at A Cook’s Companion in Brooklyn, NY, where he sold 34 machines in one shift. For SodaStream demos, this is extremely impressive for any store, especially a small independent. We usually only see these kinds of numbers at Costco or major discount retailers.

Because of his hard work on the SodaStream program, Tennessee was also chosen as a NYC Product Demonstrator to show and sell espresso machines ranging from $800-$2500 for Productions Plus client KRUPS. His energy and product demonstration skills earned him a place on a nationwide team of only eight brand ambassadors who had to perform an on-the-spot demonstration for the client to be approved.
